William “Jr Boy” Addison
William Addison, Jr. peacefully departed this life during the early morning of Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the age of 65. He was the 2nd child born to Evelyn Thomas Addison and William Addison on May 2, 1953 in Galveston, Texas. Jr. Boy spent his whole life in Brazoria County. He grew up in Angleton, attended public school here, and graduated from Angleton High School in 1971. In October of 1972, Jr Boy met and eventually married the love of his life, the former Judy Jones from Arkansas. He then went to work in the Mag Cells for Dow Chemical Company in Lake Jackson. After some time, he moved on to Macks Roofing in Freeport, Entex Gas in Clute, before finally settling in at Centerpoint Energy in Alvin until his retirement.
A public visitation is scheduled for Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home, Angleton with a memorial service set to begin at 1:00 with the Reverend Leon Robinson, eulogist.
Jr Boy enjoyed raising his horses, playing dominoes and spending quality time with his family. But his favorite past-times were being an arm chair coach for the Dallas Cowboys and following his nephews as they played football for his beloved Angleton Wildcats, until his health failed him.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Addison, Sr. and one sister Corresica Jean Addison.
Left with a lifetime of memories are his loving wife of almost 45 years, Judy Jones Addison; mother, Evelyn Thomas; four sons, William Alex Monroe, Darion Monroe, Monte Carter and Donta Addison; two daughters, LaWania Lenford and Tracy Gutierrez; three sisters, Cheryl Addison, Jeannette Beasley and Danita Perry; five brothers, Carl Ray Addison, Vernon Addison, Sr., Wendell Addison, Sr. Gerry Addison and Dion Perry; 20 grandchildren; 9- great grandchildren; 2 special cousins, Marvin “Keith” Thomas and Leonard Joe Henderson, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
