Obituary for Don

Donald Edward McIntyre
Donald Edward McIntyre, 80, of Angleton passed away Monday, January 15, 2018 surrounded by his family.
Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00 Thursday, January 18, 2018 in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Jamie Hill officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 1-3 at Palms.
Don spent most of his life making a living as a crop duster with his son, Darrell. He was also a carpenter who built homes with his father. He enjoyed building and racing cars with his lifelong friends, Ray & Carolyn Kulhanek. He served in the National Guard. He was a truck driver, mechanic, wrecker driver, and owned the service station in Danbury. He took pleasure in many different things throughout his life, including team roping, deer hunting.
Don was born February 13, 1937 in Alto, Texas to William Erenest & Thelma Rollo McIntyre.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister & brother-in-law, Jerrie & Olan Benge, sister, Sharon Starr and brother-in-law Buddy Dozier.
Survivors include his Children; Fay & James Knape & Melinda & Louis Goff of Danbury,
Donna & Greg McDermont of Brazoria and Darrell & Kristi McIntyre of Angleton
Grandchildren; Breah & Patrick Knape, Steven & Miranda Smith, Lys & Randall Osteen, Sonya & Richard Goolsby, Rachael, Mackayla & Mackenna McIntyre.
Great-grandchildren; Karson, Lane & Levi, Blake, Kortlyn & Brylee, Trey & Adelynn
Livelong friends; Ray & Carolyn Kulahanek, Mother of his children; Betty Ruth Fraiser and numerous nieces & nephews.
In lieu of usual remembrances, donations may be made to the Don McIntyre Memorial Fund to continue his legacy of charitable giving.
