He then went on to work for the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Department as a deputy. After 29 years of service, Arthur retired in 2016. In his free time, he volunteered for the Gulf Coast Rescue Squad as well.

The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield[a] and the horn[b] of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalm 18:2
