Arturo G. "Tudie" Martinez, Sr Arturo G. "Tudie" Martinez, Sr. a lifelong resident of Angleton, Texas went to be with the lord on Thursday, July 20, 2017. He had many family members by his side. He is preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Ester V. Martinez, his parents, Daniel and Mary Martinez, and brother Daniel G. Martinez. Arturo is survived by his children Gregory Martinez, Elaine Brown (Curtis), Emily Ayala (Roel), and Arturo Martinez, Jr. He had 10 grandchildren Marissa, Gregory Jr., Angel, A.J., Kayla, P.J., Joseph, Gabrielle, Louie, and Roel Jr. He also left behind his siblings Janie Lara (G.T.), Constantino Martinez (Yolanda), Sandy Banda (Tony), Maria Maldonado, Felix Martinez (Cindy), Aurora Martinez, Virginia Luna (Mike), and Crestina Gonzales. Arturo was always on the go even if that meant just taking a good cruise through town. He was very family oriented and knew the true value of family. He always loved a family gathering to spend time with family and eat lots of good food. He was a fan of country and western whether it be his clothing, attending a rodeo, or just watching a good classic western movie. He also loved dancing with the love of his life and they are now dancing together once again. A public visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Palms Funeral Home from 5-8 P.M. with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 P.M. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, July, 26, 2017 at 9:30 A.M. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Angleton with burial to follow in Angleton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Roel Ayala, Curtis Brown, Mike Luna Jr., Mike Luna III, Vincent Martinez, and Richard Martinez. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Stanley Hart and Edward Rivera.
