On August 12, 2023 David's faith was made sight when he entered into his eternal glory. David Christopher Johnson was born April 1, 1938 in Albany, NY. to the late Gerard and Hannah Johnson. Dave as he was known to his family and friends attend Hempstead High school in Long Island, NY. After graduation Dave joined the United States Air Force where he proudly served his country from 1957-1963. After his time in the Air Force he joined the National Guard and served for 31 more years.

On October 29, 1966 Dave married the love of his life Elaine Eveline Garon Johnson who proceeded him in death on June 9, 2016. Together the two of them raised 3 sons in Holbrook, NY. He is survived by his sons Chris Johnson of Angleton, Doug Johnson of Angleton, and Craig Johnson and wife Phoebe of Markham. He is also survived by his grand children Matthew Mccue, Mackenzie Johnson, Logan Johnson, Jasmine Johnson, Jonah Johnson & Camden Johnson. Dave has 3 great grandchildren Matthew Jr., Lucas, and Alex Mccue. He is proceeded in death by his parents, numerous aunts and uncles and his daughter in law Madelyn Johnson who passed away in 2020.

Dave was an active member in all the churches he attended. Occasional he would preach at Abundant Life Church which is the church he raised his family in.

His final resting place will be in Hawley Cemetery with the love of his life.

A Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for Sunday, August 27th at 4 P.M at Heart City Church located at 1280 Hospital Dr. Angleton, TX. Pastor Ryan Olivier will be officiating.
