It is with great sorrow that the family of Elsie Jo Foster, 88, of Angleton announces her passing on December 22, 2023. She was born on March 18, 1935 in Overton, Texas to Joe and Emilie (Volek) Gardovsky. Elsie married Ray Foster on October 17, 1954 in Angleton, Texas.
Elsie was a longtime resident of Brazoria County. Throughout her life, she was known for her devotion to her family and her faith in God. Elsie was a member of the Catholic Daughters Association at Our Lady of Hope in Brazoria.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Foster and parents, Joe and Emilie Gardovsky.
Elsie is survived by her sister, Carolyn Davis; her sons Clint Foster & wife Judy, Joe Foster & wife Maria, Al Foster, and daughter, Emilie Russell & husband Leonard.
Her grandchildren Jena Foster, Donna Burge, Troy Burge & wife Stephanie and step-grandchildren Paul Adkins and Bree Adkins.
Her Great grandchildren Anne, Shane, Chloe, Sadie, Elijah, Nolan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 10:00 am at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Angleton Cemetery. A lunch will be served at the Church; All are welcome.
In this time of mourning, let us remember the beautiful memories we have shared with Elsie and celebrate the incredible impact she had on our lives. She will be dearly missed, but her spirit will forever reside in the hearts of all those she touched.
