On November 24, 2021, Kenneth Wayne Winton Sr of the Brazosport area was called to be with his lord and savior after a lengthy battle with diabetes and heart disease at the young age of 70 years old. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 38 years, Kitty: children: Kenneth Winton Jr, Alissa Strambler, Kelly Syring, and Buck Winton: grandchildren: Chasity Wehres, Shelby Winton, Landon Winton, Jessie Winton, Iwest Strambler IV, Xavier Strambler, Ebony Strambler, Mercedez Strambler, Sebastian Winton, Madison Winton, Carson Winton, and Jax Winton: great grandchildren: Aizen Strambler, Maximus Muraira, Ivory Thomas, and Leonidas Madrigal: sibling: Carrie Estelle Loyd: and numerous nieces, nephews, and in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Winton and Margaret Jean Cunningham, siblings: Johnnie Winton, Petross Winton, and grandson Taylor Syring. Ken was born in Port Arthur, TX and attended Brazosport High School graduating in 1969. He was drafted to the army shortly after graduation in 1969 and served in the Vietnam War until 1971. He worked for the City of Lake Jackson for 25 years when he was forced to take early retirement related to his illnesses. He loved his family and was an amazing friend, father, and PawPaw. He loved being outdoors, hunting, riding horses, trail rides, and all animals. His hobbies were leathermaking in which he made belts, canteens, horse tack among other things.
