Lynn Elizabeth Westberry

December 19, 1954 — July 23, 2020

Lynn Elizabeth Westberry (Owens) Lynn Elizabeth Westberry, 65, of Angleton, Texas passed away on July 23, 2020. Lynn was born on Dec.19,1954 in Quincy, CA to Harry and Rose Marie Owens. In 1955, while she was still a baby, the family moved to Angleton. She graduated from Angleton High School where she met life long friends. Lynn married the love of her life, Alton Westberry, in 1976, and they were married for 37 years before he passed away in 2013. They had two sons, Seth and Jerrik, and four grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She started her career as an office manager with Natchez Steele and eventually worked for Dow, where she climbed her way up to Fleet Administrator, and remained there until she retired. She told many stories about life at Dow, in the way that only Lynn can tell them. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved attending events with The Red Devils, the cook off team for the Angleton Volunteer Fire Dept. that Alton was on. She adored her girlfriends and took every opportunity to get together for a quick gambling trip, a game of bunco, or just girl talk and cosmos. Lynn and her brother Robert spent many impromptu calls and lunches chatting about life and laughing. She cherished having her family together and took the kids and grandchildren on many trips where many fond memories were made. She also found companionship with her boyfriend Donnie Rice and their fur babies. Lynn was preceded in death by her husband Alton, her parents Harry and Rose Marie, and her sister Suzanne Kay. She is survived by her sons Seth Westberry & wife Mari, and Jerrik Westberry & wife Kristi, grandchildren Cayden, Camryn, Lyla and Connor, brother Robert Owens & fiancee Mary, niece Karen Obenhaus & husband Mike, nephew Bobby Owens, sister-in-law Penny Goode & husband Ray, and many other extended family and dear friends. Due to circumstances with Covid, the service will be limited to immediate family. Her ashes will be placed next to Alton in their vault at the Angleton Cemetery, and her family plans to have a celebration of life when it is safe to do so. Service Details. Family and friends are coming together online to create a special keepsake. Every memory left on the online obituary will be automatically included in this book. View Tribute Book
