Mitchell E. Peltier, Jr. A funeral service for Mitchell Esadore Peltier, Jr., age 91, will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home with interment to follow in St. Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Danbury. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. Mitchell passed away on March 23, 2013 in Angleton, Texas. Mitchell was born on February 3, 1922 in East Columbia, Texas to Mitchell Sr. and Agnes Imhauser Peltier. Mitch joined the United States Army Air Corps in 1942. He was a veteran of World War II. He served as an engineer gunner on the Martin B-26 Marauder and Douglas A-26 Invader, medium bombers on missions over Belgium and France. Mitch was an avid hunter and fisherman, catching redfish was his passion. He loved the outdoors. He was a career rice farmer in Danbury, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Rose Steves, Augusta Keillor, Ida Faye Lynch; brothers: Robert Peltier, and Charles Peltier. Mitchell is survived by his sons: Mitchell E. Peltier, III and wife, Wanda; Michael A. Peltier and wife, Debra; Bradley Peltier and wife, Sandi; Lee Peltier and wife Tracey; daughters: Linda Sebesta and husband, Alton; Jennifer Prater and husband, Paul; step-daughter: Anita Glisch; brothers: Joe Peltier and wife, Cathy; Tim Peltier and wife, Inez; sisters: Mary Helen Knape and husband, Sid; Mildred Scott and husband, Charles; 13 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Mitchell E. Peltier, IV, Chase Peltier, Railey Peltier, and Clint Crisp The family would like to thank the staff at Cypress Woods Care Center and A-Med Hospice for caring for our father.
