Raymond Phillips, 82 of Angleton passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2013. He was born December 31, 1930 in Dardanelle, Arkansas to Joseph & Virginia Phillips. Raymond was a dedicated pastor for over 50 years. He was also an exceptional musician and piano tuner. He always had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. However, one of the most important titles he had was that of "Praying Parent." Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow visitation on Saturday with Rev. Cere Muscerella officiating. Raymond is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Betty Phillips; sons, Dr. Steven R. Phillips and wife, Tina, Dr. Phillip J. Phillips and wife, Winnie; daughters, Sherry Witt and husband, Randy, Michelle Wittman and husband, R.J.; grandchildren, Aaron Witt and wife, Laura, Nathan Witt and wife, Sharon, Paul Witt and wife, Michelle, Austin Phillips and wife, Sarah, Joey Wittman & Brooke Wittman; great grandchildren, Skyler, Ayla, Ethan & Emma Witt. Raymond had the heart of a servant and was deeply loved and appreciated by his family.
