Russell Harrell 'Hap' Martin

Russell Martin On January 7, 2014 Russell H. Martin of Angleton passed away. Mr Martin was born in Westville, Texas on July 23, 1917, to parents Russell & Callie Martin. He was a resident of Angleton since 1948. Mr. Martin was a member of First Baptist Church of Angleton and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He was retired from Dow Chemical, where he had worked for 38 years. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Maurine Martin, parents Russell & Callie Martin and wife of 74 years Cathern Martin. Survivors include his son Larry & his wife Nancy, granddaughters, Melissa Helbert and her husband Matthew, Jessica Ewing and her husband Jason, great grandson, Riley Helbert, great granddaughters Audrey Helbert, Eleanor & Gretchen Ewing. Sisters, Beth Rhodes and Molyan Haynes and numerous nephews & nieces. Visitation will be Thursday from 11-12:30 at Palms Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday in the Angleton Cemetery.
