Ruth E. Weicht, a beloved mother, grandmother, “GG”, peacefully passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 95. Born on June 26, 1928, in Millvale, Pennsylvania, Ruth was the cherished daughter of William and Mary Fielding.
Throughout her life, Ruth held her faith close to her heart and was an active member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She was known for her kind and compassionate nature, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Ruth's genuine love and care touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to know her.
In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, traveling, playing cards jigsaw puzzles, cooking, and reading. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
Ruth leaves behind her devoted daughters, Linda Swanzy (husband, Don) and Theresa Delgado (husband, Fernie), who will forever hold her in their hearts. She is also survived by her grandchildren, their spouses, and her great-grandchildren: Geri Swanzy, Paul Swanzy, Jennifer Radford (husband, Rob), Meg Bowes (husband, Shawn), Mandi Garza (husband, Chris), Tim Weicht (wife, Laurin), Jaden Bowes, Leia Radford, Celeste Radford, Rylan Weicht and Adelyn Weicht. Along with her family, Ruth leaves behind a community that will greatly miss her presence.
Ruth's journey in this life may have come to an end, but her spirit and memory will forever be treasured. Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Paul E. Weicht, her sons, Craig and Stephen Weicht, her sister, Janet Fowler and her granddaughter, Karen Renae Weicht. In the loving arms of eternity, Ruth will be joyfully reunited with her loved ones.
Visitation to pay respects and honor Ruth's life will be held on Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home, located at 2300 East Mulberry Angleton, Texas 77515. A heartfelt funeral service, celebrating Ruth's life and legacy, will be conducted at Most Holy Trinity Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.. Following the services, Ruth will be laid to rest at Houston National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.
Though the pain of Ruth's absence will be profound, let us find solace in the cherished memories and the wisdom she imparted upon us. Her love will forever guide us, and her spirit will continue to shine through those whose lives were touched by her warmth and kindness.
