Alan Floyd Patty On December 29, 2017 Alan Floyd Patty earned his wings. Alan was born on Aug 11, 1934 to Elsie and Floyd Patty in Robstown Texas. He was the oldest of 3 sons. Alan enlisted into the United States Airforce in Feb. of 1953 for 4 yrs. During which time he married Norma Lee Baxter on February 25, 1955. They had 2 Daughters Cindy and Chyrl. After his discharge in 1957 they moved back from Harlingen to Brazoria County and Alan went to work for Ethyl Dow. Alan worked for Dow Chemical until his retirement in 1987. Alan loved fishing, hunting and cooking in BBQ cook-offs as a member of Star Cookers. He was a Life member of Brazoria County Fair Association where he served on the executive Board and volunteered for 34 years. He received multiple Volunteer of the year awards. Alan met some of his best friends during those years volunteering in F&S Dept. Alan was a member of the Brazoria County Cattleman's Association where many memorable trips were taken to different Ranches. Alan also was a member of Masonic Lodge #137 of Lake Jackson. Alan is preceded in death by his Parents Floyd and Elsie Patty; his wife of 59 years Norma Patty; one brother Lloyd Patty; and youngest daughter Chyrl Helms. Alan is survived by Daughter Cindy Parker (Gary); Brother James Patty; 4 Grandchildren LeAnn Rafalski (David), Theresa Theriot (Mitchell), Amanda Whitley (Forrest), and Micheal Helms; 3 Great Grandchildren Cole Story, Hope Janise, and Zoey Rafalski, and one Great Great Grandchild Camille Ford; Sister in law June Waltrip; numerous Nieces and Nephews and many dear friends. Funeral Services are set for 11:00 am Thursday January 4, 2018 in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7 at Palms. In lieu of usual remembrances donations may be made to Brazoria County Fair Association-Scholarship Fund P.O.
