Alfonso Bermea, 81, of Clute, passed away Friday, April 6, 2012. He was born in Lockbride, Texas on October 29, 1930 to Leopoldo Bermea and Margarita Rodriguez Bermea. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Joe Martinez; brothers, Arturo Bermea, Arnulfo Bermea, & Adolfo Bermea; & sister, Aurora Bermea Gonzales. He is survived by his wife, Rosie Bermea, currently in Brazosport Memorial Hospital; brother, Armando Bermea; children, Salvador Bermea & wife Norma of California, Mary Lou Allen of Washington, Alfonso Bermea, Jr. & wife Judy of Austin, Texas, Erica Rodriguez & husband Alberto of Richwood, Texas, Norma Uribe of Clute, Texas, Margaret Uribe of Clute, Texas, David Uribe, Jr. of Newfoundland, British Columbia, Tony Martinez & wife Lucy of Freeport, Texas & Constantino Martinez, Jr. & wife Donna of Jones Creek, Texas. Alfonso and Rosie were married on August 06, 1977(34 years). The joy of his life was spending as much time as possible his wife Rosie & their grandchildren and great grandchildren of which there are many. He worked in the auto parts industry for many years. His last place of employment was AutoZone. He served his country in the Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a faithful Catholic servant his whole life, and was a parishioner of St Michaels Catholic Church in Lake Jackson TX for the majority of his life. A visitation will be held at Palms Funeral Home on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary at 6 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church, 100 Oak Drive, Lake Jackson, Texas. Burial will take place on Monday, April 16, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the National Cemetery in Houston, Texas.
