Alicia Garza Flores

Alicia Garza Flores 89, of Angleton, Texas died May 29, 2019. She was born in Goliad, Texas to Fortino Garza and Antonia Chapa Garza. Alicia was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fernando Flores. Survivors include her sons, Marin Flores of Angleton, George Flores and wife, Ruth of Pearland; daughter Mireya O'Neill and husband William of Pearland; grandchildren, Gabriela Stockdell of Austin, George Fernando Flores of Austin, and David Flores and wife Jessica of Houston; great grandchildren, Eden Alma Stockdell of Austin and David Fernando Flores of Houston; sister Sulema Garza Gutierrez of Victoria; and numerous nieces and nephews. Alicia was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at UTBM Health Angleton Danbury Campus for over 25 years. She was also a member of the Catholic Guadalupanas at Holy Trinity Church for a period of at least 50 years. Her other volunteer work included time spent at The St. Thomas Center resale shop. A visitation and rosary for Alicia will be held Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Palms Funeral Home, in Angleton. The visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm with a Rosary recited at 6:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place Monday, June 3, 2019 at 10:00 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Angleton with Father Victor Perez officiating. Interment will follow at approximately 3:30 pm in the afternoon, at San Fernando de las Flores Cemetery in La Bahia, Goliad, TX. Pallbearers will be Deyanira Perez, Joy Carrasco, Ilda Hernandez, Lucia Arredondo, Rebeca Mireles, Rosy Cruz, Teodora Sustaita, and Lina Hernandez, all members of Sociedad Guadalupana. Honorary Pallbearers will be William O'Neill, George F. Flores, David Flores, Francisco Sustaita, Pablo Sustaita, and Antonio Sustaita. Service Details.
