Alma Marie Cartwright Davenport Alma Davenport, 83, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 in Lake Jackson Texas. She was born April 18, 1935 to Oliver Cartwright & Dorothy Perkins Cartwright. Alma loved art, sewing, and was a Girl Scout leader for many years. She was also a volunteer at church with the Girls in Action group for many years, as well as volunteering with the March of Dimes. Alma enjoyed camping with her family which usually involved deer hunting, dancing and dominoes. Along with many family get-togethers over Bar-B-Que for the 4th of July. She loved growing flowers and her garden. She had the prettiest Bluebonnet display in her yard. Alma was a member at Second Baptist Church of Angleton. Alma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Gerald Gene, Sr., son, Gerald Gene Jr., sister, Dorothy Cook and husband Bill Cook, brother Ross Cartwright, and grandson Gerald Milligan. She is survived by her brother Calvin and wife Jan Cartwright, Rick and Karin Bergstresser. Children; Tim Davenport and wife Kim, Tami Davenport, Theresa Davenport and Lonnie Cagle, Tracey Butler and husband Brian. Grandchildren; Amy Scott, Tommy Taylor, Jennifer Lindsey, Kathleen Voetee and husband Jesse, Sarah Taylor, Rachel Taylor, Megan Davenport, Rebecca Davenport, Scott Davenport, Jessica Milligan, Noah Lindsey. Great-grandchildren; Andrew Scott, Ryleigh Lindsey, Madison Briggs, Payton Lindsey, Brody Scott, London Cosper, Thomas Taylor, Violet Lindsey, Rosalie Scott, Jax Cosper, Aiden Taylor, and Miguel Vasquez. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Palms Funeral Home.
