Alta Lou Lee

Longtime Angleton resident Alta Lee left this life peacefully, Monday morning, March 5th. She was a resident of Country Village Care Center at the time of her death. Born in Polk County, Texas, she later lived in Conroe, Eagle Pass & Houston, before moving to Angleton in 1945. Preceded in death by husbands Bill Lindsey, Luther Ray Patterson & Raymond Lee, she is survived by a son Billy Lindsey of Angleton and a daughter Geannene Jennings of Coldspring. Her life was blessed with five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Countless nieces and nephews felt the love of "Aunt Alta'. She was a faithful and dedicated member of Angleton's First Baptist Church for seven decades. An outstanding cook, she was locally famous for her chicken and dumplings and hot rolls. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Tuesday, March 6th with funeral services at First Baptist Church, Angleton at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7th . Honorary pallbearers are Johnny Copeland, Bob & Morgan Manuel, Herbert Taylor, Gary Barnes & Tim Seidler.
