Alvin Eddie Saha

On Wednesday, October 17, 2018 Alvin Eddie Saha, went to be with the Lord at the age of 81. Alvin lived a life of determination, hard work and faith. He always knew how to have a good time with friends and family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, brother, devout Catholic, avid hunter and caring friend. He and his wife lived a blessed life; they loved to travel and made raising a family together their priority. Alvin will be remembered by his wife and best friend of 55 wonderful years Florence, their children: Courtney (Chris), Jackie (Bruce), Wendy (Andy), and Britt (Christina), along with his nine grandchildren: Colten, Lacey, Cameron (James), Hunter, Joseph, Eliot, Astra, Fischer, Lulu, and his siblings Ella Bucek, Louis Saha, and Dennis Saha. Alvin served in the Korean War before becoming a family man. He established the Texas Farm Bureau Insurance office in Angleton and worked there for 48 years. During this time, he met many wonderful people who became lifelong friends. Some of his best memories were made with his family at the Saha Six Ranch in Leakey, Texas. His humor was contagious and his witty comments made even the grumpiest of folks grin. One of the things Alvin will be remembered for most was his many ‘pearls of wisdom' such as: "it is what it is," "can't change it," "you do what you can," "dryer than a popcorn fart" and, everyone's favorite, "shittin' in tall cotton." The visitation will be held at Palm's Funeral Home Sunday, October 21st from 4-6pm followed by the rosary at 6. The funeral service will be held at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Monday, October 22nd at 11am followed by a reception immediately after in the church hall. The burial will be at St. Peter's Catholic cemetery in Blessing at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, Alvin would appreciate donations to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Angleton.
