Andrew Garza Obituary Andrew Garza Jr, 68, of Angleton, TX, passed away on Saturday January 3, 2015. He was born to the late Andres & Juanita Garza on November 10, 1946. He had five brothers Jesus Garza and wife Dolores Garza of Cypress, the late Rudolfo Garza of Freeport, Joe Garza of Lake Jackson, Armando Garza and wife Debbie Garza of Freeport, Mario Garza of Austin, and three sisters Adela Hernandez of Richwood, Maria Rosa Crossman of San Antonio, and Anabella Garza of Freeport. Andrew graduated from West Oso High School in 1965. He married Rosalinda Damian May 22, 1971, and they lived in Angleton, Texas. Andrew joined the United States Marine Corps in 1967 and took part in the Vietnam War. He was also an active member in the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Marine Corps League. He worked more than thirty years as a Process Technician for British Petroleum and Dow Chemicals. Andrew was a great father who believed strongly in family values and had great faith in Christ. He was a church elder at Bethel Presbyterian church and a respected member of the community. "If you have a strong family foundation you can handle anything that is thrown at you in this world, and survive anything" Andrew Garza Jr. Andrew is survived by his wife Rosalinda Garza and their two children: Christopher James Garza and wife Jenifer A. Garza, of Pearland, and Jody Stephen Garza, of Angleton. He is also survived by three grandchildren: Darren Michael Garza, Jayce Lee Garza, and Jordan Alyssa Garza. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Bethel Presbyterian Church of Angleton, Texas A viewing will be held at Palms Funeral Home on Wednesday January 7th, from 6-8:30pm. The church service will be held on Thursday January 8th, 11am, at First Presbyterian Church, Angleton, Texas.
