Ann Irene Morris

Ann Irene Morris, a longtime resident of Clute Texas went to Heaven to be with her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ on September 17, 2014. Ann was born January 4, 1935, in Freeport Texas, to Joe Marshall Fleming and Marguerite Eunice Nicholas Fleming. Ann married John David Morris on March 11, 1955. Ann was a volunteer at the Food Pantry, the worship service greeter at the church door at Brazosport Christian Center, and a member of Brazosport Christian Center for over 25 years. Ann is survived by her son, Marshall Morris and his wife, Tammy Grimes-Morris; her brother Elliott Temple (Red) Fleming and his wife Fran; her son-in-law, Floyd Bowers; her grandchildren Brett ("Tommy") Morris, Hayley Grimes, and Jarrod Bowers; and her three, great-grandchildren: Reagan Lynn Bowers, Morgan Kinlee Bowers, and Jarrod Lain Bowers. Ann was preceded in death by her husband, John David (J.D.) Morris; her daughter, Lorrie Morris Bowers; her brothers, Marshall Emmanuel (Marsh) Fleming, Jack Yates Fleming, and Harvey Wilson (Bo) Fleming. Funeral services will be on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the funeral home.
