Annetta 'Cookie' Smith

Annetta ‘Cookie' Smith of Angleton, 86, passed away on March 3, 2022. She was born in Waynesboro, Virginia to Wayne C. Page and Evelyn Briesacher Page on January 30, 1936. Everyone knew her as ‘Cookie' and few knew her actual first name. After graduating from Wilson Memorial High School in Fishersville, Virginia, she moved with her family in 1956 to Angleton. Here she met and married her husband, Andrew Joseph Smith Jr., in 1962. They remained married until his passing in 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Mablelee Cupp, Norma Terrell, brother Raymond Page and sister in law Jeraldine Smith. Joe and Cookie loved traveling, fishing and camping. After Joe's passing, she continued her travels with friends and later, discovered her love for cruises. Cookie was a member of Northway Baptist Church of Angleton. She loved her church family and the time she spent volunteering there. She is survived by her daughters Debbie Guenther and husband Doug of Angleton and Brenda Stone of College Station. Grandchildren; Tonya and husband Scott Page of The Woodlands, Kerri and husband Doug Lockard of Camden Point, Missouri and Robert and wife Kelly Munson of The Woodlands. Great grandchildren; Kirby and Blake Page, Makayla, Gunner, Max, Beau and Lena Lockard and R.J. and Kyle Munson. Brother in law Tom and wife Suzanne Smith of Tomball, sister in law Louise Bailey of Lake Jackson and numerous nieces and nephews. Services for Cookie will be Visitation from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday March 8, 2022 at Palms Funeral Home and a Funeral Service at 11 a.m. Wednesday March 9, 2022 at Northway Baptist Church in Angleton.
