Antonio Cantu 'Tony' Gonzalez

Antonio Cantu " Tony" Gonzalez, 86 of Rosharon passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2015 in Angleton. Mass is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church 1713 N. Tinsley Angleton, Tx. Burial will follow at St Anthony's Catholic Cemetery in Danbury. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 5-7 p.m. with a Christian Wake/Rosary at 7 p.m. in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel. Tony was born January 28, 1928 in China Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Marcelino & Maria Isabel Cantu Gonzalez. He was a US Army Veteran stationed in Okinawa Japan & Taipan during WWII. He married Elva G. Guzman on September 1, 1948. His parents, two brothers, one sister and one great-granddaughter preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Elva G. Gonzalez, daughter Rosa Elena Jauregui & husband Refugio. Son, Antonio G. Gonzalez & wife Naomi. 5-grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Terry Butler, Ron Johnson, Joseph Jauregui, David Jauregui, Sr., Raymond Martinez, Jr. & David Jauregui, Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marcus Gonzalez, Estevan Martinez, Refugio Jauregui & Jonathan Jauregui.
