Arlan Dale "Scuzzy" Barnes

Arlan Dale Barnes (Scuzzy), 72, went to be with our Lord on December 16, 2018 in Angleton, Texas. The viewing will be at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton on Thursday, December 20th from 6 - 8:00 pm. His Funeral Services will be Friday, December 21st at 1:00 pm at his home church, Christian Tabernacle in Angleton. Dale was born on February 14th, 1946 in Lamesa, Texas to Warren and Elva Barnes. He married Pearlie Dyson in 1968 and had four children. He was a Spec 4 in the Army and served in the Vietnam War. He retired from Dow Chemical Company as a Safety Supervisor and spend his retirement years hunting hogs and deer, making cast nets, raising chickens, shelling pecans and spoiling his grand-babies. He was also very honored to be an Honorary Trustee for Christian Tabernacle. He was proceeded in death by his mother and father, Warren and Elva Barnes, his sister Rae Faulkner, and his son Wesley Lance Barnes. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pearlie, his son, Conan and wife Diane, his daughter Darla and husband Leonard, his daughter LeNelle and husband Zach, and his daughter-in-law, Tabitha. He is also survived by his two brothers, Veston and Quinn and two sisters, Ina and Cloy Margaret and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Service Details.
