Armando Acuna-Castillo, a beloved husband, son, brother, and friend, passed away on December 16, 2023, at the age of 60. Born on October 27, 1963, in Tula Tamaulipas, Mexico, Armando touched the lives of many with his warm heart and infectious laughter.


Armando was a dedicated heavy equipment operator in the construction industry, using his skills to contribute to the growth and development of his community. He always sought to learn and grow in his field, demonstrating a strong work ethic and commitment to his craft.


Survived by his loving wife, Margarita Castillo, and beloved mother, Mercedes Castillo, Armando's memory will be cherished by his family and friends. He will be especially missed by his children: Maximiliano Acuna (Izzeli), Juan Acuna, Armando Acuna, JR. (Maria), and Alejandro Acuna (Brittney). Armando was also a proud grandfather to Catalina Acuna, Elianna Acuna, and Yartia Acuna.

He was preceded in death by his father, Valente Acuna, and his brothers; Ambrocio Zuniga, Jose P. Zuniga, Serveriano Zuniga


Visitation will be held on December 20, 2023, at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas, from 3:00 -6:00 p.m. The Rosary will be recited during the visitation, providing an opportunity for loved ones to gather and remember Armando's spirit.


A Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on December 21, 2023, at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where family and friends will come together to celebrate Armando's life and find solace in their shared memories.


Following the Mass, a graveside service will be conducted at Angleton Cemetery, where Armando will be laid to rest. It will serve as a final farewell to a man who touched the lives of many with his kindness and generosity.


Although we mourn the loss of Armando, we celebrate his life and the joy he brought to those around him. His memory will forever live on in the hearts and minds of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
