Arthur Dean 'A.D.' Miller

Arthur Dean (A.D.) Miller, 63, of Angleton, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2018 at home surrounded by his family. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 26, 2018 from 5-8 pm at Palms Funeral Home. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 am. Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at the Palms Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chris Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Guy Cemetery in Guy, Texas. Arthur was born October 29, 1954 in Richmond, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; Ollie and Imogene Miller, brother Lyndon Miller, and sister Wanda Boortz. Arthur is survived by his loving wife; Tina Miller of 33 years, sons: Arthur Dwayne Miller and Aaron Andrew Miller, daughter; Brenda Pursley and husband Robert (Scooter), brother; Terry Miller (Julie) of Guy, grandchildren; Dakota Jenkins, Mikayla Jenkins, Tristan Pursley, Paityn Miller, and Kali Miller as well as numerous other family and friends. Arthur enjoyed hunting, fishing, barbecuing, and being outdoors, but his greatest passion was spending time with his family. In his spare time, he could be found in his garage doing woodwork or sitting outside in his rocker with his four-legged sidekick, Rusty. Arthur was a kind, loving, selfless Christian man who was always willing to help anyone in need without a second thought. He had a sense of humor that could bring a smile to anyone's face. Upon graduating from Needville High School, Arthur began working for the Texas Department of Corrections in Rosharon for approximately 15 years. He then went on to work for the Brazoria County Sheriff's Department as a deputy. After 29 years of service, Arthur retired in 2016. In his free time, he volunteered for the Gulf Coast Rescue Squad as well.
