Avis Ann Turner Shell, age 79, of Angleton, TX went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 1, 2019 at Cypress Woods Care Center in Angleton, TX. She was born in Houston, TX in 1939 to Arvis & Eva Turner. Graduated from Angleton High School in 1957 (played clarinet in the band). Married Carl (Pete) Alton Shell in 1957 at the First United Methodist Church in Angleton, TX. She enjoyed making/decorating cakes, oil/acrylic painting, park host with her husband & best friend, & spending quality time with family. She was a member of Grace Bible Church in Clute, TX. Preceded in death by her parents, Arvis & Eva Turner; 2 brothers, Arvis (Bubba) & Bill Turner; & 1 grandson, Justin Daniel Flessner. Survived by husband, Carl (Pete) Shell of Angleton, TX; 3 daughters/spouses-Larisa & Paul Manning, Jr. of Richwood, TX; Carla & Gary Garland of Angleton, TX; Christie & Blake Flessner of Damon, TX; 3 grandchildren/spouses-April & Justin Faul of Angleton, TX; Jarrod & Sarah Manning of Richwood, TX; Gabrielle & Yash Rojas of Clute, TX; 4 great grandchildren-Brayden & Carsyn Faul; Rozalyn & Zola Rojas; Many nieces & nephews; & sister (in-law), Lora Anne May of Grayson, LA. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday June 6, 2019 in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in the Angleton Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 at Palms.
