On August 29, 2021 our precious Mom danced her way into heaven celebrating her 91st birthday. Genette will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 27 years Farest Smith, her four surviving children Kenneth Pastusek (Nan) of Denton, Diane Crenshaw (Greg) of Angleton, Cynthia Bennett (Bubba) of Danbury, and Susan Seibel (Pete) of Waxahachie as well as her two Stepsons Mike Smith (Sandra) of Angleton and Stacy Smith (Mary) of Angleton. "G" to her grandchildren Eric, Beth, Kathrine, Ryan, Jennifer, Doug, Caleb, Josh, Carrie, Kendall, Casey, Cody and Beau and 22 great grandchildren; as well as her niece Denise Sizelove and nephew Will Evans with whom she had a special bond. You may remember Genette from the many years she worked at Champion Beers, was a member of several bridge clubs, bopped along during water aerobics at either the Lake Jackson or Angleton Rec center, volunteered for the Angleton Hospital Auxiliary and during the most recent years during Silver Sneakers at the Wellness Center in Angleton. She was preceded in death by her parents Gene and Loree Evans, her brother Bill Evans, son John Pastusek, stepdaughter Becky Bland and grandson Evan Pastusek. Genette's family expresses their gratitude for the care shown to her during her stay at County Village Care. A visitation will take place at Palms Funeral Home on September 10 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, a private burial will be held at a later date.
