Barbara Ann Brown, 71 a lifelong resident of Angleton, passed away, Saturday, July 14, 2012. She was born September 23, 1940 in Burlington, North Carolina to Robert and Leona Cole. Barbara was the owner and operator of the Philly Station for over 20 years and she enjoyed playing bingo. She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved canine companion, "Cookie". Barbara is survived by her children, Richard M. Brown, Jr., Debra Garcia and Mark Wayne Brown all of Angleton; siblings, Robert Cole and wife, Sandi of Pasadena, John Cole of Austin and Mary Rowe and husband, Larry of Clute; grandchildren, Brandy Brown, Katrina Brown, Kamella Monroe, Cassondra Frost and Mark Wayne Brown, II; eleven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and special friend, Paul Garcia, Sr. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Palms Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Joe Villarreal, Mike Rose, Lester Wollam, Sr., Carlos Ruiz, Brian Corona, Lester Wollam, Jr., Ray Castillo and honorary pallbearer, Bill Haney.
