Barbara Ann Roe

Our Heavenly Father carried his daughter away on January 21, 2014 in Angleton, Texas. She was born October 11, 1939 to Alton and Marie Olson in Sweetwater, Texas. Her family relocated to Bay City, Texas where she graduated High School, then majored in business at WCJC. After marrying Larry Roe, they moved to Angleton, Texas. Barbara's love for her community radiated through her volunteer and charity work. She loved her church, First United Methodist Church of Angleton and was an active member for many years. Barbara was also treasurer of the Angleton Softball Association, a member of the Business & Professional Women's Club (BPWC) and the Grandmother's Club. She worked for the Texas Department of Public Welfare and retired after 20 years of service with the Social Security Administration. Following retirement, she owned and operated Angleton Defensive Driving School for many years. She enjoyed a multitude of crafts and always had a project in the making. Survived by her daughters; Vicki Roe (Denice) & Tambra Anderson, her sister Almarie Reed (Joe), her brother Gary Olson (Mitzi), grandchildren Tabitha Turcios (Marlon), Katie Phelps (Jonathan Toner) & Chadwick Anderson (Ashley); great-grandchildren Austin, Connor & Zoe Turcios, Keegan Anderson, Justice Phelps & Braylee Anderson and extended family.
