Barbara Grasham Handy

Barbara Grasham Handy, 74, of Angleton passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2012. Barbara was born February 26, 1937 in Dallas, Texas to Clarence and Neva Grasham. Barbara was a faithful and loving wife to her husband, Paul for 56 years. She was a wonderful and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her first love was to out Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus. She never missed her daily devotions every morning. Barbara was always there for us whenever they needed her. She always took care of her family and anyone else who she could help. One of the things that we will miss most is her stories and whimsical language. She was proud our family is strong, loving and we take care of each other. This is a legacy that she wanted to leave behind. And now in our sorrows, we cling tighter together to honor our mother. We know she is in God's glory and we know we will see her once again reunited in God's kingdom. She is survived by her husband, Paul Handy; children, James Handy and wife, Lorrie, Neva Startz, Marion Thacker and husband, Patrick Beacom; Sam Reeder and son-in-law, Mike Reeder; grandchildren, Rachel Thacker, Sarah Thacker, Wendt Ratliff, B.B. Handy, Neva Handy, Michael Handy, Travis Dawley, Elaine Dawley, Alyssa Bacerra, Laura Martinez, Mary Handy and Jonathon Gates; and 21 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 19, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Monday, February 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home with Brother Carroll Grigsby to officiate. Burial will follow in Angleton Cemetery.
