Barbara Marie Wootton, 69, of Rosharon went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in Houston. A Celebration of Life is set for 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Northway Baptist Church in Angleton, with Pastor Aaron Pardue officiating. Barbara was born June 20, 1945 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to George D. & Ruby (Wright) Byrd, and was a lifetime resident of Brazoria County. Barbara was a loving wife and mother. She was affectionately known by friends and family as "Bunny." Barbara enjoyed camping with her family, painting, needle work and she loved studying God's Word. She will be greatly missed by many, but all who know Jesus as Savior will see her again in eternity. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jerry Byrd. Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Jimmy Wootton, son, Jimmy Wayne Wootton & wife Lynn, daughters; Sharon Renee' McNair & husband Mac, and Sharlyn Renee' Wagner & husband Randy, brother, Dwayne Byrd & wife Julia Ann, grandchildren; Taylor Wootton, Bailey Wagner, Cody Wootton & Alexandria Wagner. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dwayne Byrd, Mac McNair, Randy Wagner, Taylor Wootton, Cody Wootton, Jeb Brooks, Michael Byrd & Jessie Scott. Although she loved flowers, Barbara requested that donations be made to Northway Baptist Sanctuary Renovation fund in lieu of flowers.
