Benigna Perez

It is with great sadness that we announce that Benigna Perez has gone on to meet her Lord and Savior. Benny passed away on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, at the age of 46, after a long and courageous battle with muscular dystrophy. Her never ceasing prayer, daily bible reading and unconditional love from her mother is what helped her be strong until the very end. Benny was born on May 12, 1975, in Matehula, S.L.P., Mexico. Her family moved to Houston, Tx when she was only 2. The family later permanently settled in Freeport, Tx where she grew up and attended school. She graduated from Brazosport High School in 1994 then went on to receive her bachelor's in computer engineering at Devry University in 2004. As a teenager, Benny accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Benny was a member at Iglesia Bautista Emmanuel in Freeport, TX where she was always willing to help and give her time even through her illness. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching the Texans play, and helping at church. Benny was preceded in death by her grandparents Jose Teodoro Moreno, Epifania Villalpando, Juvencio Perez Garcia, y Soledad Rodrguez Castillo, her father Eustaquio Perez, and many other family members. She will be missed by her mother Benigna Perez. Her siblings Francisco Perez, Claudia Mendoza, Soledad Perez, Rosa Peraza, Magdalena Granados, and Sandra Saldierna. Her brother in laws Juan Mendoza, Alex Peraza, Carlos Granados, and Carlos Saldierna. Her nieces and nephews Juan Mendoza II, Francisco Mendoza, Aneli Mendoza, Juan Daniel Castillo, Emma Castillo, Alexis Peraza, Cristiano Peraza, Noah Peraza, Alianna Peraza, Sebastian Granados, Gabrielle Granados, Pablo Granados, Kayla Saldierna, Vanessa Saldierna, Caleb Saldierna, and many other countless family members, and friends. We will miss Benny, but we rest knowing that we will see her again. Viewing will be at Palms funeral Home in Angleton on Monday, Jan 10, 2022, from 5-7 pm. We will also have a church memorial service on Tuesday Jan 11, 2022, at Iglesia Bautista Emmanuel in Freeport, TX starting at 10 am followed immediately by her burial at Angleton Cemetery.
