Bernadette Catherine Lennon

Bernadette C. Lennon, formerly of New York, NY, a beloved mother, sister, Nana and treasured friend, left this world on December 2, 2024, at the age of 93. She was born on October 2, 1931, in New York, NY to Lawrence and Mae Lynch. Bernadette carried within her the spirit of a proud New Yorker, a passion that defined her character as she resided in Brazoria County for the past 18 years. She met and married the love of her life, George Lennon on September 2, 1950.

Bernadette was a dedicated registered nurse and loved caring for people. She never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. She enjoyed serving her church and community whenever she saw a need. She volunteered at the Angleton Danbury Medical Center and at the Gathering Place. She was a member of the Red Hats from her church and enjoyed going on excursions with the seniors from the Angleton Recreation Center.

A member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bernadette's faith was the cornerstone of her life. She was actively involved in church activities, demonstrating her devotion as a devout Catholic. Bernadette found joy in reading, crocheting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

Bernadette leaves behind her loving children: Eileen Davenport (husband, Dennis), Jim Lennon (wife, Ronnie), and Mike Lennon (wife, Nora), her daughter-in-law, Nancy Lennon, her sisters: Kathy Lynch and Andrea Lynch. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. While her physical presence will be profoundly missed, her legacy of kindness, community spirit, and love remains etched in the hearts of all she touched.

Bernadette was preceded in death by her parents: Lawrence and Mae (Kelly) Lynch, her husband, George Lennon, her siblings: Larry Lynch. Virginia Lynch and Gerry Engeldrum, and her children: Bob Lennon, and Regina Orapello.

Funeral services to honor Bernadette’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. A mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. There will be a private burial at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes, NJ at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in her memory, ensuring that her spirit of giving continues to flourish. Bernadette may have departed from this world, but her legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering faith will continue to shine brightly in the lives she touched.
