Bettie Cheryl Sanchez (Mullis), age 72, passed peacefully with family by her side December 10, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Chuck Sanchez, her mother Christine Martin and her sister Barbara Ann Brewer. She is survived by daughter Kimberly Ann Chiovitti, son Robbie Lee Davis, grandson Nicholas Christian Chiovitti, sister Brenda Register & husband Luther, niece Chrissy, nephew Toby, as well as beloved uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins from Georgia. She was born February 24, 1949 in Milan Georgia. She grew up in Georgia & lived in Warner Robins GA for 17 years. After getting married, she moved to Melbourne Florida. She raised her daughter Kim and her son Robbie while working in the avionics industry. Upon meeting the love of her life Chuck Sanchez they married and moved to his home state of Texas. She graduated from the College of the Mainland to become a Registered Nurse. After the passing of her husband, she realized her dream was to work in hospice caring for patients and their families. Bettie is known to be an animal lover and was devoted to saving animals from starvation and homelessness. She never passed up any animal in need. She truly believed in the spay and neuter program and often spent her own money and time for them. In 2003 with the birth of her grandchild, she became "Nana" to Nicholas who kept her on her toes and was the light of her life. She also loved shopping and dining out with her daughter Kimberly. She loved her skype visits with her son Robbie, who lives abroad. She enjoyed beach vacations with her Georgia family and whether on the phone or being together there were always bursts of laughter and love with her sister Brenda. Bettie had a special place in her heart for her dear best friend Brenda Kinder and all of her colleagues at Hospice Care Team. We would like to thank Jerry von Sternberg for being a part of our family and all the loving care and support he gave these past few months. He was there every step of the way and she loved him like a son. Our family wishes to extend our deepest gratitude to Kristina, Ms. Jane and all the caring aids at K's Personal Care Home. We also wish to thank Chaplain Kim and Chaplain Belinda for your support and prayers.
