Betty Amos

Betty Ann Amos, 74, passed away peacefully on her 74th birthday on July 29, 2016. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton. Interment will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Betty was born on July 29, 1942 in Houston, Texas to James Henry and Lela Mae Patterson Morriss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Ray Amos. Betty is survived by her son, Edward Amos and wife, Cathy; daughter, Cheryl Wootton and husband, Travis; sister, Nancy Wallace and husband, Fred; grandchildren, Josh and Rachel Amos; Taylor Rollins and husband, Bryan; and Cody Wootton. Betty was a teacher at Angleton ISD for 33 years where she taught most every grade in elementary and middle school along with Pre-K and Special Ed. Betty had a sparkling personality and loved to wear sparkling, blingy clothes. The family requests that anyone attending the visitation or funeral wear something sparkly or blingy in honor of Betty.
