Betty Terrell

Betty Martin Terrell was born on February 04,1930 in Pampa, Texas, to Walter Birton Martin and Eddie Haggard Martin. Betty grew up on a farm in Panhandle, Texas. She moved to Southern Brazoria County in June 1955, and resided in Lake Jackson, then in Freeport, then in Angleton, Texas for many years. Betty passed away at about 7:00PM on Saturday, September 19, 2020. Betty was an early employee of the Texas Dow Employee's Credit Union, where she answered the telephone, typed, and once helped repossess a car. She later worked as a Deputy District Clerk, then for the Brazoria County Child Support Office. Betty had been retired for over 25 years. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, "Birt" and Eddie Martin, her brothers Leon Martin and Walter "Jake" Martin, and her husbands, Jarrell Neighbours, Harry Byers, and Bill Terrell. Betty is survived by her sister, Shirley Eagle (husband Kent) and Linda Iker (husband T.D. "Denny" Iker). Betty is survived by her son Doyle Neighbours and his wife Charlotte Macik Denmark, of Angleton, Texas, and her son Dennis Neighbours and his wife Sharon Neighbours of Ft. Worth, Texas. Betty is survived by her grandson Sean Neighbours, his wife Abbie Neighbours, and their children Gianna, Cecelia, and Mia Michelle. Betty is survived by her granddaughter Sarah Neighbours Arthur, her husband Clint Arthur, and her children Riley and Aislin. Betty is also survived by her grandson Cory Neighbours, his wife Racheal, and their son Dylan Neighbours. Betty is also survived by lots of nieces, nephews, and friends. Betty was a devout Christian and a member of Northway Baptist Church in Angleton. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, September 25, 2020. Services will initially be conducted at Palms Funeral Home at 2300 East Highway 35, in Angleton, Texas. Private Family Services and family viewing will be conducted from 9AM until 10AM. Public visitation will be from 10AM until 11AM. At 11AM, Betty's family and friends will be invited to share their thoughts and memories about Betty. At 1PM, Betty will be interred at Garden of Peace Mausoleum, Unit D, Crypt D 594, in Restwood Memorial Park, 1038 West Plantation Drive, Clute, Texas. Honorary Pallbearers will be Betty's sons, Doyle and Dennis, and their wives, Charlotte and Sharon, nephew Mike Martin and his wife Maria, Harvey Macik, honorary sons Joel B. Easley and Mike Aycock, and close friends and honorary daughters Tracy Aycock and Monica Palmer. Space is limited Due to COVID-19 & Masks are required. Service Details.
