Beulah Mae Blankenship-Weathers

February 15, 1922 — August 29, 2012

Beulah Mae Blankenship Weathers, 90 1/2, the greatest, most loving, and generous-hearted mother in the world, left this life peacefully on August 29, 2012. She was born to Dee Murray and Della Anderson Murray in Choctaw, Oklahoma on February 15, 1922. Beulah was orphaned at nine, and she and her siblings were then raised by her grandmother and grandfather Anderson. She met and married James William "JW" Blankenship in Muskogee, Oklahoma on February 25, 1940. After 43 years of a loving marriage and four children, JW passed away in 1983. She re-married in 1991, Harvey C. Weathers. Some called her "Beulah Mae," JW called her "Bootsie Mae," and her friends called her "Boots," a nickname she had since her childhood because she loved wearing boots. A wonderful homemaker, she loved to dance, visit with friends, play dominos and cards, read and spend time with her family, enjoying the grandchildren most of all. Left to honor her life are her four children and their spouses: Donna Mae Blankenship Jablecki (Larry), James "Jim" Franklin Blankenship (Barbara), John Lee Blankenship (Maggie) and Karen Suzanne Blankenship Terrell (Jim); also seven grandchildren: Dr. Jason Blankenship, Mindy Blankenship Burch (Jeremy), Dr. Nathaniel Jablecki (Myla), Sarah Jablecki, Cara Blankenship Drenner (Rick), Corey Terrell (Misty), and Amy Terrell; four great-grandchildren: Lane Burch, Maddie Drenner, Mylie Drenner and Tynlee Burch; and her husband, Harvey Weathers. Her love and spirit will live on in her children and grandchildren forever. A private family graveside service will be held in Angleton Cemetery on Saturday, September 1, 2012. The service will be officiated by the Rev. Father Andrew Parker, of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church in Lake Jackson. Boots' beloved grandsons will act as her pallbearers, Dr. Jason Blankenship, Dr. Nathaniel Jablecki, Rick Drenner, Jeremy Burch, Corey Terrell and Lane Burch. A Celebration of Life for Boots will be held in St. Timothy's Episcopal Church Parish Hall on 200 Oyster Creek Drive in Lake Jackson, TX at 5:30 PM on Saturday, September 1, 2012. All friends and family are welcome.
