Billy Carroll ''Bill'' Robinson

Bill Robinson, 71 of Conroe, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Tomball Regional Medical Center. Bill was born December 26, 1942 in Angleton, Texas to Cletus and Opal Robinson. He was a graduate of Angleton High School class of 1961. He was a retired antique furniture dealer and refinisher. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved dancing on Friday nights. He delighted in spending time with his grandchildren. Bill was active in helping with fundraisers for the Friendship Center Meals on Wheels Program and The Pet Rescue of Conroe. Bill is survived by his daughter, Stacey Spears and husband Martin of Katy, son, Casey Robinson and wife Jolie of Brenham; brother, Curtis Robinson and wife Myrna of Baytown and sister, Barbara Oxsheer of Angleton; 6 grandchildren, Martin Spears, Cody Robinson, Mason Spears, Morgan Spears, Kenzie and Kirbie Faour; longtime family member, Sheri Robinson, who has helped us care for him over the years; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He will be missed dearly by his canine companion "Taffy". He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services are set for 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 25, 2014 in the Palms Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Angleton Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Martin and Mason Spears and Cody Robinson; Nephews, Darril, Toby and Mike Robinson. In lieu of usual remembrances, donations may be made to The Friendship Center, 1202 Callahan, Conroe 77301 or Conroe Animal Adoption Center, 407 Sgt Ed Holcomb Blvd, Conroe 77304 in Bill's name.
