Billy L. (Bill) Richbourg Bill Richbourg passed away peacefully on May 18, 2018 at the age of 83 years, with his family by his side. For him, there is no more suffering, no sorrow, no more pain --This victory over death is his and ours, only through Jesus Christ. He was born to Henry and Mary Richbourg on November 14, 1934 in Big Spring Texas. He entered the military after high school and proudly served in the Army Engineers during the Korean War from 1954-56, and in the Army reserves for 8 years. A dedicated learner, Bill continued his education by taking classes at several colleges. He cherished his years at Bible Baptist Seminary, Arlington TX. A servant of his Lord Jesus and a Bible scholar, Bill was always willing to discuss the scriptures. His desire was to bring honor to God, not to himself. He was married to his sweetheart and best friend, Gaye Richbourg for 46 years. They lived in Angleton and served as local missionaries together. His personal mission field was working at Texas Port Ministry for many years. He also served as a Volunteer Chaplain for many years. A quiet, humble man, Bill shared his faith in words and actions. Bill worked at Dow Chemical, retiring as a Safety & Training Foreman. He is survived by his son David Richbourg Currier (Brenda) of Longview, his sister Winn Richbourg (Fred Bosse), granddaughters Crystal Melim (Robert) of Lufkin, Brooke Duncan of Nacogdoches, and great-grandchildren Ava, Kennedy, Nathan, Haley, and Laney. And numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and loving friends.
