Billy Ray Parsons

Billy Ray Parsons of Danbury, Texas passed away on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at the age of 74. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at Palms Funeral Home on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Bubba Rouse of Liverpool Friends Church officiating. Burial will follow in Danbury Cemetery. Bill was born on November 14, 1937 in Shiloh, Texas to Kyle Bedford and Lexia Viola Morrow Parsons. Bill married Julia Gwynn Sides on February 1, 1957, and both cherished their 55 years of marriage. Bill served with Danbury Police Department from 1971 - 1981 as a police officer and as Chief of Police from 1981 - 1986. He retired from Dow Chemical after 35 years of service. Bill was a charter member of Liverpool Friends Church. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and son, Kenneth Ray Parsons. He is survived by his wife, Judy; daughters, Kim Corona and husband Mike of Angleton; Ginger Davenport and husband Richard of Danbury; sons, Jeffery Parsons and wife Deborah of Danbury; Cameron Parsons and wife Pamela of Angleton; brother, Bob Parsons and wife Wanda of Cypress, Texas; 7 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Parsons, Cameron Parsons, Mike Corona, Richard Davenport, Ben Lampe, and Johnathon Eakin.
