Billy Wayne Bromonsky

Billy Wayne Bromonsky, 80, passed away on September 16, 2024 in Needville, Texas. Billy was born in Snook, Texas and raised in Danbury, Texas, graduating from Danbury High School in 1961.


After graduation, Billy proudly served in the United States Army as Military Police while stationed in Korea. Billy went to work for the Houston Fire Department in 1973. He served for over 30 years and spent his last years as a Chaffer/Engine Operator for HFD. After his retirement, Billy enjoyed raising cattle at his farm in Hallettsville, Texas. His greatest joy was babysitting and helping raise his four grandchildren who affectionately called him Papa.


Survivors include his son, Barry, and wife JoAnne, and their four children: Bethany, Skylin, Lauryn, and Brenden. He is also survived by his brother, Tommy Bromonsky and wife Betty, and his sister, Mary Ann Canada, as well as many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.


Visitation services will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 from 11am-12 noon at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas. Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024 at 1pm at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in Danbury, Texas.
