Bobby Earl Boone passed away in Angleton, Texas on May 18, 2018 at the age of 80. Bobby is predeceased by his father and mother, W. L. Boone and Lucille Boone Brown. Bobby was also preceded in death by his sister Leatta Brown, his brother Henry Boone, and his stepfather J.W. Brown. Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Bessie Eileen Boone. They were married in Freer, Texas on September 2, 1962. Mr. Boone is lovingly remembered by his children, Andy Boone (wife Kim) and Kevin Boone (wife Cindy) of Angleton, Texas. He is also fondly remembered as Papaw by his grandchildren Jacob Benjamin Martindale, Victoria Elizabeth Boone, Bayleigh Ann Boone, and Luke Andrew Boone. Bobby was born in Freer, Texas on August 8, 1937. Bobby graduated from Freer High School in 1955. After graduation, Bobby spent 4 years serving his country in the United States Air Force. Bobby began his career with the Dow Chemical Company in 1967. He retired from Dow Chemical in 1997. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and working on any of his many projects that he always had going at the same time. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family. Visitation will be held at Palms Funeral Home on Monday, May 21, 2018 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Angleton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children in Galveston, Texas.
