Bonnie Jean Gana Barrera

Following a lengthy battle with cancer Bonnie Jean Gana Barrera of Angleton Tx passed away at age 92 with her family by her side. Bonnie was born October 01, 1928 to William and Althea Starkweather in Lincoln, NE. She retired from Angleton Wal-Mart after 18 years in Lawn & Garden as a people greater. She always had a smile for all who entered. After her retirement she would go shopping there and we called it her marathon shopping as she would talk and hug everyone she knew. People would come from all of the departments for their smile and hug. Bonnie enjoyed trips to Coushatta Casino with friends and family. She also spent time in the local game rooms with her friends. She loved the game shows and Miss Fisher's Murder mysteries on TV. She loved gardening and could bring any plant back to life with her green thumb. She always had a dog or two and loved them all. She was preceded by her Daughter Cinda Gana, Granddaughter Tammi McCall, Parents William & Althea (Neal) Starkweather, Sisters Marjorie Cave, Elenor Agnew, Elsie Neal. Brothers Charles Starkweather, Richard Starkweather and Guy Starkweather And survived by Daughter Linda Gana, Son-in-law Bill Mixon, Grandchildren Carla McCall, Jack (Trixie) McCall, Jimbo McCall, Jolie (Bart) Gilmore. Great Grandchildren Morgan Stevens, Kaylee Phelps, Cade McCall, Jace McCall and Cole McCall. Niece Lanna (Mike) Shrader of Eagle, NE and Nephew Danny (Denise) Starkweather of Hoyt, KS, Brother in Law Herman Lee (Ann) Gana of Dickinson,Tx and numerous other family members and friends.
