Callie Elizabeth 'Granny Beth' Rhodes

"Callie Elizabeth Martin Rhodes, or "Granny Beth" to most of the people who knew her, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 in Lufkin. She was born on December 29th of 1920 in Westville, Tx. Granny Beth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She lived in Angleton for most of her life and was a devout member of the First Baptist Church of Angleton where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Callie and Russell Martin, Husband Dusty V.A. Rhodes, son Dusty Martin Rhodes, siblings Sam Martin, Hazel Carlton, Sue Delk, Teecie Roden, Minnie May McDonald, Pollye Kennedy, Jane Cico, Russell Martin, Luther Martin and many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sister Molly Haynes, sons Sam Rhodes and wife Sprigs, Nick Rhodes and wife Karen and Rocky Rhodes, grandchildren Sherrill White, Tamara Rhodes, Sammie Kay Casbeer, Richard Rhodes, Madeline Rhodes, Kelly Rhodes, Barry Rhodes, Jace Miller, Kaysi Bell, Dusti Rhodes, and Waylan Tarkington, great-grandchildren Travis White, William White, Brehan Castro, Brittaney Rhodes, Kayla Rhodes, Richard Allen Rhodes, Jr., Jarrett Rhodes, Zarah Rhodes, Jason Casbeer, Kylee Miller, Braxton Miller, McKenna Miller, Bristyl Miller, and Parker Tarkington, and great-great-grandchildren Colin White, Maya White, Eli White, Abby White, Callie Luna, Kynnedy Luna, and Rowan Scott. Visitation will be from 5:00PM-7:00PM on Thursday, April 19th, at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton TX. Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Friday, April 20th, also at Palms Funeral Home. Pallbearers for the funeral services will be Sam Rhodes, Rocky Rhodes, Richard Rhodes, Barry Rhodes, Jace Miller, and Waylan Tarkington."
