Carla Renee Staley

Carla Renee (Rogers) Staley, 66, of Bremond, Texas, went to be with her Heavenly Father on June 15, 2022, after her battle with Pancreatic Cancer. Carla was born on March 19, 1956, to Addie and James Rogers in Houston, Texas. Carla met and dated Michael Staley while in high school, and after graduating from Spring Branch High School they got married and went on to have 2 children, Michael Wayne Staley, Jr., and Joshua Eric Staley. Carla and Mike lived in Houston, Texas, moved to Wyoming and Alaska for Mike's work, and returned to Texas living in Plantersville, and later in Alvin, where they lived many years. They later purchased a home in Groesbeck, Texas near Mike's mother's home. While living in Alvin, Carla worked as a floral designer for Alvin Flowers. Carla loved working with flowers and shared her gift by putting her love and creativity into her designs. Through the years, her designs would show up at family events including showers and weddings. Carla also enjoyed painting, especially in her youth. Some of her favorite pastimes were reading, watching movies, playing word games online with her cousins, fishing and walking on the beach, and spending time with her family in Alvin, and extended family in Angleton. Carla will truly be missed. She was a kind soul who never asked for much. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, happy spending time with the ones she loved. We will miss her greatly. Carla was preceded in death by her parents Addie Jane (Holt) Rogers and James Otis Rogers, her brother Collis Mark Rogers and daughter-in-law Amber Staley. She is survived by her husband Michael Wayne Staley; sons Michael Wayne Staley Jr. and Joshua Eric Staley; granddaughters Elizabeth Staley and Alyssa Staley, and grandson Jonathan Staley; Sister Deborah Hilton and brother-in-law Charles Hilton; nieces Julie Mogford and Amanda Avila; grandniece Kamilla Avila; and numerous dear cousins. Family and Friends are cordially invited to a Celebration of Life Memorial. A visitation is to be held Saturday, July 9th from 2pm to 4pm. The funeral service will follow from 4pm-5pm at Palms Funeral Home, 2300 E. Mulberry St., Angleton, TX 77515.
