Carlos Ray Amos, 70, of Angleton, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2012. He was born January 31, 1942 in Snyder, Texas to Edward & Freda (Cox) Amos. Carlos volunteered his time during the tax season with AARP income tax preparation for those less fortunate. He worked for Dow Chemical for 27 years. He enjoyed camping, playing a little guitar, 50's music and classic cars. He could always get an automotive running again. Carlos was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward & Freda Amos and is survived by his loving wife, Betty Ann; son, Edward Amos & wife, Cathy of Angleton; daughter, Cheryl Wootton & husband, Travis of Austin; brother, Bob Amos & wife, Bridget of Angleton; grandchildren, Josh, Rachael, Taylor, Cody, Jacob, Patty & Joey. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 31, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Palms Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 1st at 10:00 a.m. at Palms.
