March 1, 1960 — August 14, 2014

Carolyn Claire Baker, 54, of Houston, TX, passed away August 14, 2014. She was born March 1, 1960, in Midland, MI, to Dr. Charles Baker and the late Lois (Leaver) Baker. Carolyn graduated from Midland High School in 1978 and attended Michigan State University and Northwood Institute. She was an accomplished floral arranger and worked for several florists in Midland, MI, and Lake Jackson, TX. After raising her children, Carolyn attended the Culinary Institute LeNorte and used her extraordinary cooking skills to launch her business Black Tie Cuisine as a personal chef. She was also a beloved volunteer in her daughter's 2nd grade class at Silverline Montessori School. However, it was her vocation as a loving mother and devoted "Soccer Mom" for which she will be most remembered. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband John Eaton; daughter Denae Moldovan of Houston, and son Garrett Moldovan of Angleton, TX; her father Dr. Charles Baker of Midland, MI; brothers Carey (Gail) Baker of Highland, MI; Kevin Baker of Bath, MI and Curt (Lori) Baker of Midland, MI; an aunt and uncle; and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, sister Kathryn Baker; and nephew Aaron Smith. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on September 20, 2014 at Palms Funeral Home, Angleton, TX.
