Carroll Ray Wiggins, affectionately known as Bubba, beloved uncle and cherished friend, rode his Harley Davidson into eternal paradise on January 11, 2025, at the age of 71. He was born on June 22, 1953, in Aransas Pass, Texas to his parents; Curtis and Vera Juline Wiggins. Bubba was known for his vibrant personality and passion for life. He always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. Bubba never met a stranger and would help anyone in need, without a second thought. 

Bubba worked for Kirby Inland Marine for 35 years and retired as a boat captain. 

An avid motorcyclist, he found joy on the open road, often participating in charity motorcycle rides that supported his community. Bubba’s commitment to giving back was evident through his extensive charity work, where he dedicated his time and energy to helping those in need.

In addition to his love for motorcycling, Bubba enjoyed socializing with friends and family, valuing the connections he made over the years. He was a regular at family gatherings, where his laughter and stories would fill the room with warmth. In his younger years, he also had a fondness for bowling, cherishing the friendly competition and camaraderie it brought.

Bubba is survived by his nephew, Zachary Tate, who will carry forward his uncle's spirit of generosity and joy as well as his great niece Shelby.. Bubba is also survived by his sisters: Becky Cothren and Denise Tate. Nieces Courtney Estrada (Julian,) Tara Perla, Rachelle Cothren. Nephews Brandt Cothren (Sara,) Ty Cothren (Courtney,) and Michael Wiggins. Very near and dear to his heart are his special nieces, Kaylin Brewster, Kallie Brewster, and Katy Shedd (Robert and Kay Brewster.) Also left to cherish his memory are numerous great nieces and nephews, his many special friends, including Cherl Martin and Robert Coe, as well as his chosen family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Bubba was preceded in death by his parents; Curtis and Vera Wiggins, his brother, Darin Wiggins, his brother-in-law, Lee Cothren, his brother-in-law/best friend Sammy Tate, and best friend, Gene McGlaughlin. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 20, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Palms Funeral Home in Angleton, Texas with visitation beginning at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at 2:00 pm at Prairie View Cemetery in Aransas Pass, Texas.

Carroll “Bubba” Wiggins will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, commitment to giving back, and the countless lives he touched throughout his journey. What a life well lived.
