Cathern Martin On Thursday, December 26, 2013 Cathern C. Martin of Angleton passed away. Mrs. Martin was born in Holly, Texas on January 9, 1923 to parents Homer and Paralee Cupp. She was a resident of Angleton since 1948. Mrs. Martin was a member of First Baptist Church of Angleton. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Maurine Martin, parents, & brother Winford Cupp. Survivors include her husband Russell, son Larry and his wife Nancy, granddaughters Melissa Helbert and Jessica Ewing, and sister, Vera Muery. Great grandson Riley Helbert, and great granddaughters Audrey Helbert and Eleanor and Gretchen Ewing also survive her. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Palms Funeral Home from 11-12:30 pm, followed by a graveside service at 1:00 pm in Angleton Cemetery.
