Charlotte Toler Martin, 63, of Danbury, Texas, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the afternoon of December 10, 2020, in Webster, Texas. Charlotte was born on September 7, 1957 in Woodville, Texas, to John and Margie Toler. She grew up in Chester, Texas, and was a member of Caney Creek Baptist Church. She attended and graduated from Chester High School, where she was drum major of the band. She was also a contestant in Tyler county Dogwood Festival pageant. Charlotte had several occupations over the years. She was in charge of maintenance and housekeeping at Second Baptist Church Angleton, Texas. She was a substitute teacher for Danbury ISD and then was able to work with many special kids at Alvin ISD. Later she was a caretaker for Mrs. Bertie Moore and then an assistant for Mrs. Ann Blakeney of Alvin, Texas for many years. Concurrently to these occupations she was the greatest Wife, Mom and Grand Mom. Charlotte was able to play several different musical instruments. She was a member of a national community band which performed with The Boston Brass. She sang Christian music in a small group consisting of Kenneth Conner, Virginia Edwards and herself. Charlotte was a Church Organist for many years at Second Baptist Church of Lake Jackson, Texas, where she was a beloved member. She was greatly admired for her faith during her physical trials of recent years. She is survived by her husband, Bruce Martin; her mother, Margie Toler Morrell and step-father J.P. Morrell; her brother Gary Toler and his wife, Vonda; her lifelong best friend Susan Landry; her son, Thomas Lynn Bridgmon and his wife, Rebekah; grandchildren Jeremiah Bridgmon, Kristian Bridgmon, Zachariah Bridgmon and Daniel Bridgmon; and two nephews Garrett and Garren Toler. Her Memorial Service will be January 2nd at 11:00 AM with her Pastor, Gary Thornton, officiating at Second Baptist Church of Lake Jackson, Texas. Her burial and graveside service will be January 9th at 11:00 AM at Mount Hope Cemetery in Chester, Texas.
